Connect and learn with your peers!
GIA Funders Communities are designed to help grantmakers connect, share insights, and support each other in a collegial, respectful environment. Each funders community has an email address that group members can use to communicate. When you send an email to the group’s address, it is distributed to all members of that group. Funders Community email lists are limited to members of that community and only members of the group can send emails to the list. To ensure a positive experience for all, we ask members to follow the guidelines below.
Use GIA Funders Communities email lists to connect, ask questions, share your best ideas, and learn from diverse perspectives.
- Post burning questions or seek advice
- Share job openings, best practices, or accomplishments
- Highlight new grants, funding opportunities, or resources
If you're seeking input, replies will automatically go to you. We encourage you to compile responses and share them back with the group for everyone's benefit.
All emails sent to the email list are also archived online, making it easy to search topics and conversations within each community's page.
Do not forward any part of an online discussion to others without group approval. We encourage members to discuss collaborative opportunities but please do not use this platform to discuss specific nonprofit partners or the merits of grant-specific requests using this online forum.
Soliciting donations or using GIA programs, events, or resources for fundraising is not permitted. Organizations with both grantmaking and grantseeking roles agree that their development staff will not use GIA activities for fundraising purposes.
